Our hazelnuts

The collection of hazelnuts is important as it must be avoided that they absorb the soil moisture, ruining its consistency and organoleptic properties.
Harvesting normally takes place in September, with slight differences depending on the place of production, the production variety and the climatic trend of the vintage.
Hazelnuts are a nut that can be kept even for a long time if appropriate precautions are taken.
After the harvest they must be spread in the sun for 7-10 days. (withdrawing them overnight), in order to lose a good part of the water they contain.
Afterwards, proper storage requires a cool, non-humid and not exposed to light place, with air exchange.
